The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil

NOTE: For passersby who may be thinking about sending me a note to ask me if they can post my art on their website, the answer is no. Please don't send me a note asking this question.

Hi, everyone! Well, I had over 200 comments sitting in my message center. I had gotten really bad at replying to them, and for that I apologize. I haven't been feeling really well lately with my migraines so it's been a little difficult for me. (I've also been camped out on livejournal more than deviantart these days)

I had to delete a bunch of comments because there was no way I could reply to them all, but I did read each and every one of them and I want to thank you all for the nice comments on my art and stories! (And I'm really sorry I can't finish Time For a Change for those who were commenting about that

)

For those wishing to color my sketches, you may do so as long as you credit me and link back to me. I would also like if you left me a comment or note to tell me that you've posted it on deviantart so I may favorite it! The only exception is you may not color something marked as a commission! (I also said no to a Sirius/Remus drawing that had lines from someone's story in it) Also, do not post my art anywhere else other than deviantart!!

As for me and art, I'm still struggling to find inspiration and motivation to keep drawing, but I haven't given up and I'm still around these parts. (Still wanting to post Dramione fanart! LOL. I just have to DRAW it first!) So please stay tuned! *crosses fingers*

One last thing... I finished Nanowrimo! I cleared just over the 50,000 word mark on November 30th. Now I feel a little burnt out on writing. I'm about to start writing some short stories again before I pick up my Nano novel to look at again. Whew! Congrats to everyone else who attempted and finished!! Yay for November!

I've been having chronic migraines for about 3 years now. Sometimes I'll have a good spell and sometimes it'll be really bad. I guess I've learned to deal with it and move on with life. I just wish my art hadn't gone by the wayside. Luckily, my writing hasn't!! Thanks for the congrats!!
